How It Works
The Polycom EagleEye Director, the latest videoconferencing system at IU, uses voice and facial recognition to help personalize live classes and meetings.
The system uses two high-definition cameras to offer both wide shots of the room and close-ups of speakers. The view switches automatically as the close-up camera uses voice and facial recognition technology to find and follow speakers as they move about the room.
The EagleEye Director System also offers:
- Two large screen monitors to make remote site participants appear life-size when speaking and shared content easier to see
- A touch screen panel that makes it easy to use
- A variety of display sharing capabilities, including computer screens, applications, document cameras, or external laptops
